Hige Driver

Event organizer Cosplay.ph has announced on Monday that they are bringing Japanese music producer Hige Driver to their flagship event Cosplay Mania ’19 this September.

This will be the first time he will perform in the country, which will be done at the popular Japanese pop-culture event’s exhibition area stage, also known as the “EX Stage”.

Hige Driver is a Japanese music producer from Yamaguchi, Japan who has been performing since 2005 and became a part of the commercial scene three years later.

He is at the forefront of the 8-bit style music, also known as Chiptune, and has provided songs for rhythm arcade games released in the market.

Aside from video games, he has also contributed in producing or composing songs for Japanese anime, including Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, Kantai Collection, Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls, Release the Spyce, and most recently, Boogiepop and Others.

In addition to Hige Driver, the organizers previously announced that Japanese musical artists MYTH & ROID, Asaka, Yasutaka Nakata, and May’n will perform at the JAM Concert portion of the popular event.

Aside from the musical performers, the upcoming event will also host Japanese cosplayer duo VENaS Japan, and Singaporean cosplayers REA KAMI and BoiledCurry, as well as Japanese stage actors Allen Kohatsu and Kousuke Asuma.
