Events organizer Cosplay.ph has announced on Monday that Japanese disc jockey and music producer Yatsutaka Nakata will perform on their flagship event Cosplay Mania ’19, which is scheduled to happen this September.
He will be in addition to previously announced guests, Japanese pop rock band MYTH & ROID and singer Asaka, who will be a part of the popular event’s JAM Concert performance.
Nakata is began his music career as a part of the Japanese electronica duo CAPSULE in 2001, and they have performed theme music for anime titles Portable Kuukou, Space Station No. 9, Sora Tobu Toshi Keikaku, and Five Numbers!
He has also produced music for Japanese pop group Perfume, as well as pop singers Meg and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
He has also composed and produced music for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as well as product advertisements, and even the departure melody for shinkansen
Aside from the musical guest, they will also be joined by Japanese stage actor Allen Kohatsu, and cosplayer guests VENaS Japan, REA KAMI and BoiledCurry.
More special guests and musical performers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets for Silver and Gold tiers are now on sale at smtickets.com, while VIP ticket availability will be announced at a later date.
