PASAY CITY, Philippines — Events organizer Cosplay.ph announces on Sunday the return of two of their showcase events that was heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the Cosplay Carnival 2022 event, the organizer announced the return of Anime & Cosplay Expo or “ACX”, scheduled for July 16 and 17 at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City, in a bid to rejuvenate the Japanese pop-culture scene in the Philippines.

The event, which was last held in June 2019, will implement a new ticketing system to prevent a repeat of the issues of long lines that happened during the first day of Cosplay Carnival 2022 held on Saturday.

Called the “Plus Ultra” Ticketing system, early birds may buy tickets for as low as PHP249 per day from May 1 until a certain period of time, or once it sells out, where it will shift to PHP299 before it moves into its regular ticket price at PHP349 once it sells out.

Customers are allowed to buy three (3) tickets from any tier per transaction per day, with the option of collecting six (6) specific ticket designs to form a certain image that will be created once the tickets are joined together.

Organizers will also have the opportunity to track ticket sales and adjust the number of tickets to be sold as needed.

Tickets for Anime & Cosplay Expo 2022 are now on-sale through SM Tickets outlets nationwide and online through this link: smtickets.com/events/view/10973

Aside from ACX, Cosplay.ph also announced the return of Cosplay Mania, its marquee event after three years, to be scheduled possibly in October 2022, also at the SMX Convention Center Manila.

No additional details were also shared during the presentation and urged the public to continue monitoring the Cosplay.ph social and web pages for additional details.

Pop culture organizers in the country are now slowly returning to holding live in-person pop culture event since the pandemic began in March of 2020.

Earlier this month, The Asian Toys, Comics, and Hobbies Collective announced the return of TOYCON PH this year, to be held on July 8-10 at its old stomping rounds at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
