
Event organizer Primetrade Asia has announced on Friday that the Japanese visual kei band UchuSentai:NOIZ will return to The Best of Anime 2019 next month.
This will be the seventh time that they will be performing in the country, but this will be the third time they are performing in the popular Japanese pop-culture event.
UchuSentai:NOIZ is a Japanese visual kei band formed in 1996 who became known in the Philippine pop-culture scene for covering a rendition of Filipino rockband Kamikazee’s hit single “Narda”, as well as several other Original Pinoy Music (OPM) hits.
The visual kei group first performed in the country at The Best of Anime in 2012. The following year, they returned to the popular pop-culture event for the second time, as well as performing in Pulp Live’s Bazooka Rocks concert as one of the foreign acts.
In 2014, the group returned to the country to perform at pop-culture event’s special Summer concert series BoA Summer Live. They returned to the popular pop-culture event for the third time the following year.
In 2016, UchuSentai:NOIZ became contestants in Philippine multimedia conglomerate ABS-CBN’s singing reality competition I Love OPM, which is showcased foreigners singing OPM hits, where they reached Top 12 before being eliminated.
In the same year, the group also held their first solo concert in the country.
They will be joined this year by fantasy idol group STARMARIE who will be performing on the event for the sixth time, as well as Taiwanese cosplayers Chihiro, King and Momo.

The Best of Anime 2019 is scheduled to happen on August 31 to September 1, 2019 at the SMX Convention Center – Manila, inside the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City.
