ANIPLUS Asia to premiere “Zombie Land Saga” anime on August 6

The 2018 original comedy anime is a collaboration between Japanese entertainment producer Avex Pictures, anime studio MAPPA and video game developer Cygames.

Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has announced on Sunday that Zombie Land Saga comedy anime will make its television premiere this month.

The anime will premiere on August 6, airing every Thursday and Fridays at 04:30pm PHT, with the Primetime Encore telecast at 10:30pm PHT.

 

Zombie Land Saga is an original anime series created by Japanese entertainment producer Avex Pictures, animation studio MAPPA and video game developer Cygames, which was aired on Japanese television in October to December 2018.

Munehisa Sakai, who previously worked on several episodes of One Piece, directed the comedy anime series, while Dororo scriptwriter Shigeru Murakoshi handled the series composition.

Kasumi Fukugawa, who worked as an Assistant Animation Director in Persona 3 the Movie #1 Spring of Birth, handled character designs for the original anime.

She will be joined by Asami Tano (“Rin”, Toriko) as “Saki Nikaido”, Risa Taneda (“Mirai Kuriyama”, Beyond the Boundary) as “Ai Mizuno”, Maki Kawase (“Kiriko Yoshitoku”, Kandagawa Jet Girls) as “Junko Konno”, Rika Kinugawa (“Takako Chino”, Orange) as “Yugiri”, Minami Tanaka (“Minami Katayama”, Wake Up, Girls!) as “Lily Hoshikawa” and Kotono Mitsuishi (“Misato Katsuragi”, Neon Genesis Evangelion) as “Tae Yamada”.

 

ANIPLUS Asia’s simulcast anime titles for the Summer 2020 season, such as Fire Force Season 2, The Misfit of Demon King Academy and DECA-DENCE, will continue airing on the channel.

Fire Force Season 2 airs every Saturdays at 01:55am PHT, within an hour after its initial Japanese telecast.

The Misfit of Demon King Academy airs every Saturdays at 24:00 PHT (effectively, every Sundays at 12:00am PHT), within two hours after its initial Japanese telecast.

DECA-DENCE airs every Wednesdays at 24:00 PHT (effectively, every Thursdays at 12:00am PHT), within two hours after its initial Japanese telecast.
