ANIMAX Asia to premiere “The Junji Ito Collection” anime this August

The 2018 anthology anime series is based on the works of the popular horror manga creator Junji Ito.

Southeast Asian anime channel ANIMAX Asia has announced on Tuesday that the horror anime anthology The Junji Ito Collection will make its premiere this August.

The anime will premiere on August 4, airing every Monday and Tuesday Nights at 10:00pm PHT, with a late-night encore at 01:00pm PHT.

The Junji Ito Collection is a horror anime anthology series, which is based on several works by the renowned Japanese horror manga creator Junji Ito.

The anime series is directed by Shinobu Tagashira, who previously worked on the Diabolik Lovers anime series, who also handled its character designs. Kochoki scriptwriter Kaoru Sawada handled the series composition, with the animation production was handled by Studio DEEN.

The horror anime was aired in Japanese television from January to March 2018, which has a total of 12 episodes.

 

ANIMAX Asia will continue the simulcast airing of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 2 this season.

The anime airs every Thursday nights at 08:30pm PHT, within the same day as Japan.
