Event organizer Primetrade Asia has announced on Wednesday that Taiwanese cosplayer King will grace The Best of Anime 2019 next month.

This will be the first time that he will be a part of the popular anime and pop-culture event as a special guest.

 

 

King is a popular cosplayer from Taiwan with over 18 years of experience and has been invited to be a part in over a hundred pop-culture events internationally, including AFA Indonesia 2014 in Jakarta, Singapore Toys, Game & Comic Convention 2016 in Singapore, and most recently, I Love Anisong Matsuri in Kuala Lumpur.

His cosplay expertise include “hot-blooded” antagonists and boy’s love (BL) characters in anime and game titles, but he had also portrayed female characters.

 

He was invited to become a judge of World Cosplay Summit (WCS) China Finals in 2015 and WCS Taiwan Finals in the following two years, as well as becoming an ambassador for gaming companies in Taiwan and China.

His notable works are portaying characters from Togainu no Chi, Crimson Spell, K project, Free! Iwatobi Swim Club, and Attack on Titan.

 

King will join previously announced cosplayer guest Chihiro, also from Taiwan, as well as it’s first musical guest Japanese fantasy idol group STARMARIE.

Details regarding ticketing sales, as well as other special guests, are expected to be announced in the coming days.

 

The Best of Anime 2019 is scheduled to happen on August 31 to September 1, 2019 at the SMX Convention Center – Manila, inside the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City.
