Event organizer Primetrade Asia has announced on Tuesday that Taiwanese cosplayer Chihiro will grace The Best of Anime 2019 next month.
This will be her second time to visit the Philippines as a special guest, but her first time to be a part of the popular pop-culture event.
Chihiro became a part of the cosplay scene since 2013, when one of her seniors had invited her to be a part of a cosplay event.
Since then, the up-and-coming cosplayer has been to different places across Asia and showing off her craft, as well as releasing photobook collections featuring different themes and characters from popular games and anime titles.
She has previously been a part of Ozine Fest’s annual December event, Ozine Fest: Anime Figure Special, in 2015.
She has been known for portaying characters in Fate game franchise including Tamamo and Mash, as well as “Inori Yuzuriha” of Guilty Crown, “Priestess” of Goblin Slayer, “C.C” of Code Geass, and “Ada Wong” of Resident Evil among others.
She has also portrayed male characters, like “Gilgamesh” of the Fate franchise, “Ciel Phantomhive” of Black Butler and “Shinya Kogami” of Psycho-Pass.
Chihiro will join the previously announced musical guest Starmarie, who will return to The Best of Anime for the sixth time.
Details regarding ticketing sales, as well as other special guests, are expected to be announced in the coming days.
The Best of Anime 2019 is scheduled to happen on August 31 to September 1, 2019 at the SMX Convention Center – Manila, inside the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City.
