Hong Kong-based content distributor Medialink Entertainment has announced on Friday they have acquired the upcoming anime My Home Hero.

The upcoming suspense drama anime is scheduled to premiere on 02 April, which will stream on the Ani-One Asia YouTube channel every Sundays at 11:00pm PHT, just 30 minutes after its initial Japanese telecast.

The anime will also be made available to their streaming platform partners in the region.

Tetsuo Tosu is a typical father whose biggest worries are his job and his rebellious daughter, Reika. That is, until he finds a bruise on her face. My Home Hero is an upcoming anime adaptation of a Japanese crime suspense manga series, written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki, which has been running in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine since May 2017.

The manga series currently has 19 tankubon volumes published.

 

My Home Hero’s anime adaptation will be directed by Takashi Kamei, who previously worked on the action anime Golgo 13, while Hajime no Ippo voice actor and Run with the Wind anime scriptwriter Kohei Kiyasu will handle the series composition.

Matsamune Noguchi, who previously worked on the anime movie Kaze no You ni, will adapt Asaki’s original character designs, which will be produced by Tezuka Productions. Kenji Kawai, who composed music in popular anime titles such as Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Eden of the East, will also be part of the upcoming anime.

 

Junichi Suwabe, known for voicing characters such as “Archer” of the Fate anime and video game franchise and “Shota Aizawa” of My Hero Academia anime series, will voice lead character Tetsuo Tosu.

He will be joined by Chihiro Shirata (as Reika Tosu), Sayaka Ohara (as Kasen Tosu), Kent Ito (as Kyoichi Majima) and Keita Tada (as Nobuto Matori), among others.

 

My Home Hero will be an addition to previously announced anime titles acquired by Medialink Entertainment for the Spring 2023 season.

This includes the upcoming fantasy comedy anime Mashle: Magic and Muscles, the Second Seasons of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury and In Another World with My Smartphone, the Third Season of Dr. STONE, the upcoming drama anime Oshi no Ko, the upcoming romantic comedy anime A Galaxy Next Door, the Second Season of Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story and the upcoming mecha anime Alice Gear Aegis Expansion.
