Hong Kong-based content distributor Medialink Entertainment has announced on Thursday they acquired the anime Alice Gear Aegis Expansion.

The upcoming anime is scheduled to premiere on 03 April, streaming every Mondays at 08:00pm PHT.

The company will stream the upcoming season on their Ani-One Asia YouTube channel, as well as other streaming platforms in the Asian region.



In the far future, when humanity is forced to flee Earth after an attack from Vice. These beings can be combated by Actresses: young women adept at using high-dimensional weapons known as Alice Gear. Under the supervision of AEGiS, private companies of Actresses head out into the universe to exterminate Vice and save the human race from being doomed to wander the universe forever. (Synopsis from Medialink)

Alice Gear Aegis Expansion is the second anime adaptation based on Alice Gear Aegis, a Japanese mobile game developed by Pyramid and published by Colopl, which was first released in January 2018 on various mobile platforms.

The mobile game first released an original video animation (OVA), titled Alice Gear Aegis: Heart Pounding! Actress Packed Mermaid Grand Prix!, in September 2021.


Staff members from the OVA series, including director Hirokazu Hanai and character designer Rikiya Okano, returned to work on the upcoming television anime, which will be animated by Nomad.

Kenji Sugihara, who worked on several anime titles including Hajime no Ippo and The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., will handle the scripts for the series.

Japanese voice cast from the OVA series, including Maaya Uchida (as Shitara Kaneshiya), Manami Numakura (as Yotsuyu Hirasaka) and Yui Ishikawa (as Fumika Momoshina), also returned to work on the upcoming anime.


Alice Gear Aegis Expansion will be an addition to previously announced anime titles acquired by Medialink Entertainment for the Spring 2023 season.

This includes the upcoming fantasy comedy anime Mashle: Magic and Muscles, the Second Seasons of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury and In Another World with My Smartphone, the Third Season of Dr. STONE, the upcoming drama anime Oshi no Ko, the upcoming romantic comedy anime A Galaxy Next Door, and the Second Season of Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story.
