Hong Kong-based content distributor Medialink Entertainment has announced on Saturday they have acquired the Second Season of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury anime series.

The upcoming season will premiere on 09 April, streaming on their Ani-One Asia channel on YouTube every Sunday afternoons at 05:00pm PHT, within an hour after its Japanese telecast.

The anime will also be streamed in Asian region through the Gundaminfo YouTube channel, Netflix and Bilibili, as well as through several local streaming platforms in the region.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is the fifteenth entry to the long-running Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, and the very first that features a female lead protagonist.

 

The first season of the series was aired on Japanese television from October 2022 to January 2023, which was also made available worldwide to several streaming platforms.

Pan-Asian anime channel ANIMAX Asia started airing the first season of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury last 15 March, which airs two episodes back-to-back every Wednesday and Thursday nights.

 

Hiroshi Kobayashi, who previously worked on the original net animation series Spriggan, will return to work on Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury’s upcoming season, while Code Geass original creator Ichiro Okouchi will continue his role in supervising the story.

The team of Hirotoshi Takaya and Shuri Toida will continue to adapt mogmo’s original character designs, which will be animated by Sunrise.

Takashi Ohmama, who worked on several anime titles such as Castle Town Dandelion and Dances with the Dragons, returned to compose its music. Japanese singer yama performs the song “slash”, which will be used as the opening theme song for the upcoming season.

Kana Ichinose, who also voiced Ichigo in the popular action drama anime DARLING in the FRANXX, will continue to voice the lead character “Suletta Mercury”, as well as Lynn (Maya Sato, Classroom of the Elite anime) as “Miorine Rembran”.

 

Medialink Entertainment previously announced that they have acquired the upcoming fantasy comedy anime Mashle: Magic and Muscles, which is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television this 07 April.
