
Hong Kong-based content distributor Medialink Entertainment has acquired the Third Season of the popular sci-fi adventure anime Dr. STONE.
The company yet to reveal the distribution details of the upcoming season, but said in a post on their Ani-One Asia Facebook page that the show’s simulcast details “will be announced soon.”
The anime’s upcoming season is scheduled to premiere in Japan on Thursday, 06 April.

Dr. STONE is an anime adaptation of a Japanese sci-fi adventure manga series, written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, which was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from March 2017 to July 2022.
The popular manga has a total of 26 volumes.
The manga was also published simultaneously in English and other languages through digital manga services such as Viz Media’s Shonen Jump and Shueisha’s Manga Plus.

One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he’s not alone! His science-loving friend Senku’s been up and running for a few months and he’s got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science!
Shuhei Matsushita, who took over directorial duties of the anime series since Dr. STONE: Ryusui special, will return to direct the third season.
In addition to Matsushita, other staff members will also return to work on the upcoming season, including scriptwriter Yuichiro Kido, character designer Yuko Iwasa and music composer Hiroaki Tsutsumi, which will be animated by TMS Entertainment.
Yusuke Kobayashi, who portrayed Arslan in The Heroic Legend of Arslan anime series, will return to voice lead character “Senku”, with One-Punch Man voice actor Makoto Furukawa returning to voice Senku’s best friend “Taiju Oki”.
Popular voice actor Maaya Sakamoto (Ciel Phantomhive, Black Butler anime) will join this season’s voice cast as François.
Medialink Entertainment previously announced that they have licensed several anime titles as part of their Spring 2023 lineup, such as Mashle: Magic and Muscles, and the Second Seasons of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury and In Another World with My Smartphone.
