Hong Kong-based content distributor Medialink Entertainment has announced on Thursday they have acquired the Second Season of Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story.

The anime’s upcoming season is scheduled to premiere on 08 April, streaming every Saturdays at 01:00am PHT, within an hour after its initial Japanese telecast.

The company will stream the upcoming season on their Ani-One Asia YouTube channel, as well as other streaming platforms in the Asian region.

It is youth story about golf and two girls, Eve and Aoi. The two come from completely different backgrounds, and have the completely opposite play styles, and together they shake the world of golf. In order to fulfil her promise, Eve comes to Japan from Europe to find Aoi. The new stage of the story is Raiou Girls’ Academy, where there will be new opponents and new challenges. Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story is an original sports anime series, focusing entirely on golf, created and produced by Bandai Namco Pictures.

The first season of the sports anime was aired from April to June 2022, which was streamed on a simulcast basis on Ani-One Asia YouTube channel and their streaming partners in the region.

 

Takayuki Inagaki, who previously worked on anime titles like Rosario + Vampire and First Love Monster, will return to direct Birdie Wing’s second season, while Big Windup! anime scriptwriter Yosuke Kuroda will also return to handle the upcoming season’s story.

Kei Ajiki, who also worked on anime titles such as Yotsuiro Biyori and World Witches Take Off!, will be back in the upcoming season to handle character designs.

The Japanese voice cast are once again lead by Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise) as “Eve” and Asami Seto (Mai Sakurajima, Rascal Does Not Dream of a Bunny Girl Senpai) as “Aoi Amawashi”.

 

Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story’s second season will be an addition to previously announced anime titles acquired by Medialink Entertainment for the Spring 2023 season.

This includes the upcoming fantasy comedy anime Mashle: Magic and Muscles, the Second Seasons of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury and In Another World with My Smartphone, the Third Season of Dr. STONE, the upcoming drama anime Oshi no Ko and the upcoming romantic comedy anime A Galaxy Next Door.
