Hong Kong-based content distributor MediaLink Entertainment Limited has announced on Monday that they will simulcast By the Grace of the Gods anime next month.
The upcoming fantasy adventure anime will start on October 4, streaming every Sunday nights at 11:30pm PHT, within an hour after its initial Japanese telecast.
By the Grace of the Gods is an upcoming anime series based on a Japanese light novel series, written by Roy and illustrated by Ririnra.
The series initially started as a self-published web novel in January 2014, but has been picked up by Japanese publisher Hobby Japan as a light novel series in September 2017 under its HJ Novels imprint. The light novel currently has nine volumes.
Aside from the upcoming anime series, the novel is also being adapted into a manga series by Square Enix since November 2017, which is being published on their Manga UP! magazine. The manga currently has five volumes.

Under the protection of the gods, a relaxed life with slimes in another world begins! One day, the life of middle-aged Japanese businessman Ryoma Takebayashi came to a rather sudden and disappointing end. Ryoma had never had a blessed life, but after his death, three great gods sought his cooperation and reincarnated him as a child in another world with swords and magic! Receiving a most cordial and divine welcome from the gods, Ryoma decides to live leisurely on his own in the forest for the time being. Working diligently at magic and hunting, Ryoma’s greatest passion comes to be researching his tamed slimes?! Training a variety of slimes (some newly discovered), the curtain rises on this easygoing life fantasy celebrating a second life with kind people in another world!
The upcoming anime series will be directed by Takeyuki Yanase, who previously worked in If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord anime series, while Is the order a rabbit? anime series scriptwriter Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handles the series composition.
Kaho Deguchi, who also handled character designs for If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord anime series, will adapt Ririnra’s original character designs, which will be produced by Maho Film.
Azusa Tadokoro, who portrayed “Ruru” in the Myriad Colors Phantom World anime series, will play the lead character “Ryoma”.
By the Grace of the Gods will be the third simulcast anime title of MediaLink Entertainment for the Autumn 2020 season, which will be streamed on their Ani-One YouTube channel.
The company previously announced the simulcast streaming of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, I’m Standing on a Million Lives and Higurashi: When They Cry – NEW starting next month.
