Southeast Asian anime channel ANIMAX Asia has revealed on their schedule that the upcoming fantasy anime series Isekai Cheat Magician will air on a simulcast basis this Summer 2019 season.
The upcoming anime will premiere on July 11, airing every Thursdays at 08:30pm PHT, within 24 hours after its initial Japanese telecast. Same-day encore telecast at 11:30pm PHT.
Taichi Nishimura and his friend Rin Azuma both get transported into a fantasy world. Isekai Cheat Magician is an upcoming anime adaptation of a Japanese fantasy light novel series, written by Takeru Uchida and illustrated by Nardack. The series is originally a self-published web novel since 2012, which is being published as a light novel by Shufunotomo, under their Hero Bunko imprint, since 2013 and currently has eight (8) volumes.
The upcoming series will be directed by Daisuke Tsukushi, who previously worked as episode director of anime shows like Kaleido Star and Bodacious Space Pirates, while Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation scriptwriter Takayo Ikami will handle the series composition.
Shuji Maruyama, who worked as animation director of Eyeshield 21 and The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, will adapt Nardack’s original character designs, which will be produced by Encourage Films.
Yoshiaki Fujisawa, who worked in several anime shows including Love Live! School idol project and The Helpful Fox Senko-san, will handle music composition of the series, and Japanese pop-rock band MYTH & ROID will perform its opening theme “Panta Rhei”.
The Japanese voice cast will be lead by Kohei Amasaki (“Haruo Yaguchi”, Hi Score Girl) as “Taichi Nishimura” and Rie Takahashi (“Emilia”, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-) as “Rin Azuma”.
They will also be joined by Minami Tanaka (as Myura), Sayaka Ohara (as Remia), Yurika Kubo (as Airy), and Hiro Shimono (as Kasim).
Isekai Cheat Magician will be ANIMAX Asia’s second simulcast anime title for Summer 2019 season, following the announcement of the upcoming dark fantasy anime series To The Abandoned Sacred Beasts.
The anime channel’s simulcast airing of Fairy Tail: Final Series will continue throughout the upcoming season, which airs every Sunday nights at 08:30pm PHT.
