Southeast Asian anime channel ANIMAX Asia has announced on Sunday that they will air the upcoming dark fantasy anime series To The Abandoned Sacred Beasts on a simulcast basis this Summer 2019 season.
The upcoming show will premiere on July 2, airing every Wednesday nights at 08:30pm PHT, within 24 hours after its Japanese telecast. Same-day encore telecast at 11:30pm PHT.
During a protracted civil war that pitted the North against the South, the outnumbered Northerners used dark magical arts to create monstrous super-soldiers—Incarnates. To The Abandoned Sacred Beasts is an upcoming anime adaptation of a Japanese dark fantasy manga series, written and illustrated by Maybe, which is being published in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since June 2014 and currently has nine (9) volumes.
Vertical Comics has been releasing an English-translated version of the manga series since May 2016.
The upcoming anime adaptation will be directed by Jun Shishido, who previously worked on the Hajime no Ippo anime sequels, while Zombie Land Saga scriptwriter Shigeru Murakoshi will handle the series composition.
Daisuke Niinuma, who also worked on The World God Only Knows and Kakegurui anime adaptations, will handle character designs for the series, which will be produced by MAPPA.
Ai Kakuma, who voiced “Mayumi Kurase” in Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime series, will voice the lead character “Nancy Schaal Bancroft”
She will also be joined by Katsuyuki Konishi (as Hank), Yuichi Nakamura (as Cain), Mamiko Noto (as Elaine), Kaito Ishikawa (as Claude), Yoko Hikasa (as Liza), Kana Ichinose (as Miglieglia), and Maaya Sakamoto (as Elizabeth).
To The Abandoned Sacred Beasts will be ANIMAX Asia’s first simulcast anime title for the Summer 2019 season.
The anime channel’s simulcast airing of Fairy Tail: Final Series will continue throughout the upcoming season, which airs every Sunday nights at 08:30pm PHT.
