Pop-culture event organizer Cosplay.ph has announced on Friday the next performer for the much-awaited I Love Anisong concert during Cosplay Mania this October, which will be the anisong singer Shiena Nishizawa.
She will be joining previously announced performers, the alternative rock band BACK-ON and fantasy idol group Starmarie.
The last anisong artist performing for the event is set to be announced in the coming days.
Shiena Nishizawa is an Japanese pop singer from Saitama, who made her mark by winning the Grand Prix in the first FlyingDog audition in 2014, while still being in high school. She is currently signed to Victor Entertainment under the FlyingDog label.
Nishizawa released her first single “Fubuki” was used as a theme song for the Kantai Collection anime series in 2015, which peaked at Number 6 of Japanese Oricon music chart. Her following singles, “Brand new world” and “The Asterisk War”, was used for the anime series The Asterisk War.
She is also set to sing the theme music for the upcoming anime movie KanColle: The Movie.
