Pop-culture events organizer Cosplay.ph has announced on Wednesday that the Japanese fantasy idol group Starmarie has been added to the performers for the much-awaited I Love Anisong concert during Cosplay Mania ’16 this October.
They will be joining the alternative rock band BACK-ON, which was announced last week.
More announcements are set to be made regarding the performers in the coming days.
Starmarie was formed in 2008, described as an idol group focused on fantasy dark theme. The group’s current members are Shino “Shinohamu” Takanori, Nozomi “Nonchan” Kishita, Monya “Monya” Takane, Hiroka “Hiichan” Matsuzaki and Kaede “Kaechan” Watanabe. They perform their songs with intense focus on the lyrics, choreography and performance.
They have performed theme songs for the anime series Cardfight!! Vanguard G and, more recently, Onigiri.
The idol group had previously visited the Philippines for four (4) times before, where they first performed at The Best of Anime 2013 then followed by BoA Summer Live together with UchuSentai:NOIZ and together with heidi at The Best of Anime in 2014. Since then, they now also performed in countries like Taiwan and Indonesia.
