Pop-culture event organizer Cosplay.ph has announced on their Facebook page on Tuesday that they are officially collaborating with Anime Festival Asia (AFA) and brings the I Love Anisong concert to the Philippines.
The highly-popular music event is set to happen during Cosplay Mania ’16 on October 1-2 at the SMX Convention Center – Manila in Pasay City.
Details regarding the performers will be announced in the coming days.
A representative of the local organizer has told Anime Pilipinas that JAM: Japanese Anime Music, which is their Anisong concert brand, is not being dissolved.
I Love Anisong concerts has been a fixture for the highly-popular event Anime Festival Asia in Singapore since 2009, which also expanded to their satellite events in Malaysia & Indonesia since 2012, and Thailand since 2015.
Sozo Pte. Ltd., the organizer of the events, had brought the I Love Anisong brand to Australia during SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show in August last year.
Japanese singers that performed in previous I Love Anisong events include May’n, LiSA, FLOW and Hatsune Miku.
The local event organizer has been in partnership with the Singapore-based event since 2010, where the winner of Cosplay Tournament of Champions (TORCH) will be the Philippine representative to the Asian Regional Cosplay Championship, which happens during AFA.
