ANIPLUS Asia adds The Ancient Magus’ Bride to Autumn 2017 simulcast line-up

Anime channel's fifth simulcast title is about a woman who faced hardships in life, who met with a man with head of a beast, and becoming his apprentice and future bride.

Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has announced during the Cosplay Mania event on Saturday that the upcoming anime The Ancient Magus’ Bride has been added to their simulcast line-up.

The show is set to premiere on October 8, airing Every Sundays at 03:00am (02:00am JKT/BKK), right after the Japanese telecast. Encore presentation at 11:00pm (10:00pm JKT/BKK).

The Ancient Magus’ Bride is an anime adaptation of a manga series written and illustrated by Kore Yamazaki, which is being serialized by MAG Garden since November 2013.  The manga is being published in Monthly Comic Garden magazine since September 2014, which currently has eight volumes.

The anime adaptation will be directed by Norihiro Naganuma, who previously worked in Kimi ni Todoke anime series and Yowamushi Pedal movie, while Psycho-Pass episode scriptwriter Aya Takaha handled the scripts.

Character designs will be made by Hirotaka Kato, who previously handled the same role in Eyeshield 21 and the first anime adaptation of Hozuki’s Coolheadedness, which will be produced by Wit Studio.

The Japanese voice cast will be lead by Atsumi Tanezaki (“Ayase Kurogiri”, Keijo!!!!!!!!) as “Chise Hatori”, and Ryota Takeuchi (“Toshirou Wada”, All Out!!) as “Elias Ainsworth”.

 

The Ancient Magus’ Bride will be ANIPLUS Asia’s fifth and final simulcast title for the Autumn 2017 season, which will join previously announced shows The iDOLM@STER SideM, Wake Up, Girls! New Chapter, the second season of Hozuki’s Coolheadedness, and Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond.
