Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has announced on Monday that the upcoming music idol anime The iDOLM@STER SideM will be their first offering for the Autumn 2017 season.
The iDOLM@STER SideM will premiere on October 08, airing Every Sundays at Midnight (11:00pm JKT/BKK), right after the Japanese telecast.
The channel is also set to air its prequel, The iDOLM@STER Prologue SideM -Episode of Jupiter-, which will premiere this Sunday, October 01, at Midnight (11:00pm JKT/BKK), just half-an-hour after the Japanese telecast.
315 Production – a newly set up small talent agency – has assembled a group of aspiring male idols from various occupational fields. They include a former lawyer, a former doctor, former pilot and so on…
Even though everyone hails from different background, they share a common dream: to be the top idol.

The iDOLM@STER SideM is an anime adaptation of the third mobile game of the popular iDOM@STER franchise, which was released in February 2014 and developed by Bandai Namco Games.
The anime series will be directed by Miyuki Kuroki and Takahiro Harada, who both worked as a staff of Occultic;Nine, while scripts will be written by Yukie Sugawara (Overlord) and Yuniko Ayana (Kin-iro Mosaic).
Haruko Iizuka and Yuusuke Tanaka, who headed The iDOLM@STER and The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls animation team respectively, will both handle the character designs of the upcoming series, which will be produced by A-1 Pictures.
The Japanese voice cast will be lead by Shugo Nakamura (“Issei Kuga”, TsukiPro the Animation) as “Teru Tendo”, Yuma Uchida (“Eigo Sawatari”, Starmyu) as “Kaoru Sakuraba”, and Taku Yashiro (“Rail”, ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept.) as “Tsubasa Kashiwagi”.
