Pan-regional anime channel ANIMAX Asia has announced in a television advertisement on Sunday that the sci-fi action anime Black Bullet will premiere on the channel this February.

Black Bullet is one of the anime titles included in the channel’s program highlights for 2016, which also mentioned Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon, Rage of Bahamut: Genesis and Snow White with the Red Hair.

Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions is also set to premiere this month, as well as continuation of the “same day as Japan” airing of Durarara!!×2 3rd Arc.

Ten years have passed since humanity was ravaged by the parasitic virus Gastrea and forced to live within a city with walls made of Varanium – a metal that wards off Gastrea. Enju Aihara, a “Cursed Child” who possesses superhuman abilities because she was born with the virus, works with Rentaro Satomi to defend Tokyo against Gastrea. Will Enju be able to overcome the social stigma attached to her kind?

The novel currently has seven (7) volumes.

The anime adaptation was directed by Masayuki Kojima, who also directed Leave it to Kero! Theatrical Version, while scripts are handled by Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai scriptwriter Tatsuhiko Urahata. Character designs are made by Chiho Umishima, which was produced by Kinema Citrus and Orange.

The Japanese voice cast are lead by Yuuki Kaji (“Walker Yumasaki”, Durarara!! series) as “Rentaro Satomi”, Rina Hidaka (“Nagisa Akatsuki”, Strike the Blood) as “Enju Aihara”, and Rikiya Koyama (“Kogoro Mori”, Detective Conan franchise) as “Kagetane Hiruko”.

Black Bullet premieres on February 09, airing every Monday and Tuesday nights at 10:00pm SG/MNL (09:00pm JKT). Two episodes back-to-back.

GRIMGAR, Ashes and Illusion premieres on February 02, airing every Tuesday nights at 08:00pm SG/MNL (07:00pm JKT). A few weeks after its Japanese telecast.

 

ANIMAX Asia continues to air Durarara!!×2 3rd Arc within 24 hours after the Japanese telecast, which can be seen every Sunday nights at 10:00pm SG/MNL (09:00pm JKT).
