Anime Pilipinas has learned on Monday that the direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV service G Sat has added Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia on its channel line-up.
The anime channel can be seen in High definition on Channel 66, which will be available to Executive Package (Plan 300) and Platinum Package (Plan 500) subscribers.
G Sat will be the second major pay-TV provider that will carry ANIPLUS Asia, after the Cable TV provider SKYcable carried the channel since May 2017.
Although several Cable TV providers in the provinces are already carrying the channel in the high definition, the DTH service will be the first major provider that will be carrying the HD channel nationwide.
ANIPLUS Asia was launched in November 2013, and is the Southeast Asian counterpart of the South Korean anime channel Aniplus TV. The channel has been instrumental in airing big-name titles like Attack on Titan, Knight of Sidonia and The iDOLM@STER.
Recently, the anime channel is known to air “simulcast” titles from Japan, like Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, Kantai Collection, School-Live!, Bungo Stray Dogs and Occultic;Nine.
The anime channel has just finished its simulcast airings of Summer 2018 titles, like Persona 5 the Animation, Planet With, Angels of Death and Steins;Gate 0, while the third season of Attack on Titan continues its airing.
The channel had recently announced some of their simulcast shows for Autumn 2018, which are Tokyo Ghoul:re (Part 2) and Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, with more titles are expected to be announced soon.
