Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has announced on Monday that they will simulcast the third season of Attack on Titan starting this month.
New episodes will premiere on July 23, airing Every Monday nights at 06:00pm (05:00pm JKT/BKK), which is within 12 hours after the Japanese telecast.
After recovering Eren and Historia, the recruits are put under the care of Levi. Stuck out in the middle of nowhere, Hange subjects Eren to a series of experiments in an attempt to find out more about his ability. But when their link to the secrets behind the wall is murdered, the squad must move out and find a new refuge. Except, a figure from Levi’s past has his own plans to stop them. Attack on Titan is an anime adaptation of the manga series by Hajime Isayama, which is being serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since September 2009. The manga currently has 25 volumes.
The third season will continue the story line of the previous seasons, which will be produced by Wit Studio.
Staff from the second season will return to the series, including chief director Tetsuro Araki, director Masashi Koizuka, script supervisor Yasuko Kobayashi, character designer Kyoji Asano, and musical composer Hiroyuki Sawano among others.
The lead voice cast will return for the third season, including Yuuki Kaji as “Eren Jaeger”, Yui Ishikawa as “Mikasa Ackerman”, Hiroshi Kamiya as “Levi”, and Shiori Mikami as “Historia Reiss”.
Attack on Titan was one of the first offerings of ANIPLUS Asia when the channel was launched in November 2013, while the 12-episode second season was aired in a simulcast basis during the Spring 2017 season.
