Events organizer Primetrade Asia has announced on Tuesday the special guest line-up for the popular Japanese anime and pop-culture event The Best of Anime 2018.

In addition to the return of the idol group Starmarie, Japanese visual kei band An Café and singer Valshe will be performing in the event for the first time.

An Café

An Café, their short name for “Antic Cafe”, is a Japanese visual kei band playing pop rock music since 2003, currently under Being Inc., which is one of the music labels of Sony Music Records.

The band is composed of Miku (vocals), Kanon (bass), Teruki (drums), Takuya (guitar), and Yu-ki (keyboard).

The group performed “Kakusei Heroism ~The Hero Without A Name~”, which is the second opening theme song of the popular mystery anime Darker than Black, as well as the theme songs for Fuma no Kojiro live-action series and Duel Masters Versus Revolution anime series.

The upcoming event may also be one of An Cafe’s last performance in a while, as they have announced that they are taking a hiatus starting January 2019.

Valshe is a Japanese female singer known for singing in both male & female voices, who is currently signed in Being Inc. label.

She started as a singer on the popular video-sharing website Niconico in 2009, where she uses an avatar drawn by fellow Niconico illustrator Hakuseki featuring blonde hair and blue eyes.

Her first performance as herself was for the song “Butterfly Core”, which was used as the 37th opening theme song for the long-running detective anime series Detective Conan. She also performed the 49th opening theme song of the series, which is “Lie to You”.

She also performed theme music for Tanken Driland -1000-nen no Maho-, and Ninja Girl & Samurai Master anime series.

Taiwanese cosplayers Hyko and Mon will also grace the event for the first time, who will be joined by returning Thai cosplayer Onnies.
