ABS-CBN’s cable entertainment channel Jeepney TV has announced through their Facebook post on Sunday that the HERO Zone anime block will be moving at an earlier timeslot starting this Sunday.

The anime block will now air Every Sunday mornings at 08:00am to 10:00am starting May 6, right after The Healing Eucharist, which is two hours earlier from the previous timeslot.

The Saturday encore block remains at 04:30pm to 06:30pm.


Starting this Sunday, the time block will now follow this schedule:

08:00am to 09:00am – KonoSuba: God’s blessing on this wonderful world!
09:00am to 10:00am – Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V


Filipino language anime channel HEROtv ceased its broadcast on February 1, reportedly due to lack of advertiser support. Sister channel TAG, which airs foreign movies dubbed in Filipino, closed down 17 days earlier.

ABS-CBN Lifestyle had taken-over HERO’s operations a week later, and revamped the social networking accounts as a “digital portal” for anime, pop culture and events.


Media conglomerate ABS-CBN’s cable entertainment channel Jeepney TV launched the anime block HERO Zone last month, with New Initial D the Movie and Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V as its first offering.

The popular comedy anime KonoSuba: God’s blessing on this wonderful world! started airing on the block on Sunday, April 1.

HERO also teased that the popular idol anime series Love Live! Sunshine!! and Makoto Shinkai’s top-grossing anime movie your name. are set to air on the time block soon.
