Primetrade Asia, the organizers of the much-awaited concert of Japanese all-female rock band SCANDAL this June, has issued a statement on Tuesday regarding the timing of the ticket-selling for the event.
Pop-culture website Otakultura first reported on Monday morning that SM Tickets started selling tickets for the concert and fan meet, but sources has told Anime Pilipinas that ticket sales started as early as Sunday evening.
In the statement, the organizers express their gratitude for the fans’ interest for the upcoming concert, but explains that tickets were sold out fast was because of SM Tickets’ wide reach through their physical and online services.
Primetrade Asia adds, “Because of the technicalities of the ticketing system, the tickets were made available for purchase online earlier than the announcement and the advised schedule to the Promoter.”
As of 11:30am of February 21, Tickets for EMPEROR and VIP, as well as the Fan Meet Pass, had been sold out. Tickets for General Admission, which cost PHP2,800 (about USD55), are still available.
