
Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has announced on Monday that the Philippine screening of the anime film Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 25.
Philippine theater chain SM Cinema has previously listed last March the anime film’s screening date to May 11.
Full details regarding the film’s upcoming screening, including the ticket price, will be announced in the coming days, but sources tell Anime Pilipinas that there are no plans at the moment for a general screening.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion is an anime film based on the light novel series, written by Fujimo Oomori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda, which is being published by SB Creative under the GA Bunko imprint since January 2013. The light novel series currently has 14 volumes.
Katsushi Sakurabi, who previously worked in Gunparade March and Alice & Zoroku, directed the anime film, while Shigeki Kimoto returned to handle character designs, which was produced by J.C. Staff. Light novel author Oomori handled the film’s scripts.
DanMachi’s anime film was released in 43 theaters in Japan last February 15.
Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia will be distributing the film in cinemas in select Southeast Asian countries, including Singapore, where the film had its screening last month.
Inori Minase (as Hestia) and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (as Bell Cranell), was joined by populars inger and voice actor Maaya Sakamoto as “Artemis”.
ANIPLUS Asia had aired the DanMachi anime series on a simulcast basis in Spring of 2015. The series also made its free-to-air premiere on terrestrial broadcaster TV5 in May 2017, which was dubbed in Filipino.
The anime channel also aired Sword Oratoria: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side, which is a spin-off of the original series, in Spring 2017.
