Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has announced in a teaser on Monday the simulcast airing on Restaurant to Another World starting next month.

The upcoming anime will air on Tuesday, July 4, but its initial airtime is yet to be revealed.

There is a secret in a seemingly ordinary restaurant called “Nekoya”. Every Saturday when the shop takes a day off, it is teeming full of “special customers”. For the office workers, it is a familiar place with familiar dishes, but for these Saturday customers – “people from another world” – it is nothing but cuisine never seen or heard before. (Synopsis from ANIPLUS Asia)

Restaurant from Another World is an upcoming anime series based on the Japanese novel series by Junpei Inuzuka with illustrations by Katsumi Enami, which is being serialized by Shufunotomo since February 2015. The light novel currently has two (2) volumes.

The anime adaptation will be written and directed by Masato Jinbo, who previously directed the anime series Chaos;Child, while the team of Keiichi and Takao Sano will adapt Enami’s original character designs.

The Japanese voice cast will be lead by Junichi Suwabe (“Daiki Aomine”, Kuroko’s Basketball series) as the restaurant’s shopkeeper and Sumire Uesaka (“Fubuki”, Kantai Collection franchise) as the waitress “Aletta”.

Restaurant to Another World will be the second anime show set to air on ANIPLUS Asia for the Summer 2017 anime season, with Katsugeki TOUKEN RANBU as the first announced title.
