Anime Pilipinas has learned that the Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has added on Friday new titles on the video on-demand (VOD) services iFlix and HOOQ.

It has also been observed that the two VOD services now mostly offer a distinct lineup of anime titles, unlike previously where both service offer the same programming line-up.

 

iFlix still offers some of its original anime line-up when it was launched in August last year, like Attack on Titan, Celestial Method, Diabolik Lovers, Glasslip, Hozuki’s Coolheadedness, Kantai Collection, Oreimo, Oreimo 2Oreshura, Psycho-Pass, Psycho-Pass 2, Puchimas!! Petit Petit iDOLM@STER, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, Samurai Flamenco, Sunday Without God, Terror in Resonance, The iDOLM@STER, Uta no Prince-sama – Maji Love 1000%, Uta no Prince-sama – Maji Love 2000% and Uta no Prince-sama – Maji Love Revolutions.

The video on-demand service has added three (3) new titles, which are Erased, Myriad Colors Phantom World and Bungo Stray Dogs.

But, that was not the only thing in his life that Satoru was feeling frustrated about… he was also living with a strange condition only he was able to experience called REVIVAL, a strange phenomenon where one is transferred back to the moment right before something life-threatening occurs. This continues to happen until the cause of the threat is erased. It is as if somebody is forcing Satoru to stop it from happening.Then one day, everything is changed! What truths are revealed when Satoru comes face to face with his own past? How will they affect his future?

ERASED, also known by the title “Boku dake ga Inai Machi”, is an anime adaptation of a Japanese seinen manga series, written and illustrated by Kei Sanbe, which is being serialized on Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Acemagazine since 2012. The manga currently has six (6) volumes.

Silver Spoon anime series director Tomohiko Ito and scriptwriter Taku Kishimoto reunited to work on anime series, while Keigo Kasako, who worked on popular titles like Blue Exorcist and The Seven Deadly Sins, also worked on character designs. The anime was produced by A-1 Pictures.

The Japanese voice casts were lead by Aoi Yuki (“Madoka Kaname”, Puella Magi Madoka Magica series) as “Kayo Hinazuki”, Tao Tsuchiya (“Misao Makimachi”, Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno live-action movie) as the 10-year-old “Satoru Fujinuma”, and Shinnosuke Mitsushima as the 29-year-old “Satoru Fujinuma”.

The anime was aired same day as Japan on the ANIPLUS Asia channel in January of this year.

 

MYRIAD COLORS PHANTOM WORLD

A boy leads a group of people with special abilities as they plot against a massive organization that takes advantage of a certain incident and eventually know the truth about their world in the process.

Myriad Colors Phantom World is an anime adaptation of a Japanese fantasy novel, written by Soichiro Hatano and illustrated by Shirabi, which was published by Kyoto Animation in 2013 with a sequel in 2015.

Director Tatsuya Ishihara and scriptwriter Fumihiko Shimo, who both worked on highly-popular anime titles like Air, Clannad and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, reunited to work on the upcoming anime. The anime was produced by Kyoto Animation.

Japanese voice cast were lead by Hiro Shimono (“Conny Springer”, Attack on Titan) as “Haruhiko Ichijo”, Sumire Uesaka (“Anastasia”, The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls) as “Mai Kawakami”, Saori Hayami (“Blue Mountain Aoyama”, Is the order a Rabbit?) as “Reina Izumi”, and Maaya Uchida (“Sharo Kirima”, Is the order a Rabbit?) as “Koito Minase”.

The anime was aired same day as Japan on ANIPLUS Asia channel in January of this year.

 

BUNGO STRAY DOGS

While he is standing by a river, on the brink of starvation, he rescues a man whimsically attempting suicide. That man is Dazai Osamu, and he and his partner Kunikida are members of a very special detective agency. They have supernatural powers and deal with cases that are too dangerous for the police or the military. They’re tracking down a tiger that has appeared in the area recently, around the time Atsushi came to the area. The tiger seems to have a connection to Atsushi, and by the time the case is solved, it is clear that Atsushi’s future will involve much more of Dazai and the rest of the detectives.

Bungo Stray Dogs is an anime adaptation of a action manga series, written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa, which has been serialized by Kadokawa Shotenmagazine Young Ace since 2012. The manga currently has nine (9) volumes.

The anime adaptation was directed by Takuya Igarashi, who also worked on the anime adaptations of Ojamajo Doremi, while Yoji Enokido, who worked on the screenplay of Captain Earth, handles the series composition. Nobuhiro Arai handles the character designs, which is being produced by the anime studio BONES.

The Japanese voice cast were lead by Yuuto Uemura (“Nanbaka”, Jugo) as “Atsushi Nakajima” and Mamoru Miyano (“Tusk”, Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon) as “Osamu Dazai”.

The first cour of the anime premiered on the linear channel last April on a simulcast basis.

 

HOOQ, on the other hand, had scaled back some of its previous offerings, such as Celestial Method, Croisée in a Foreign Labyrinth, Hatsuyuki, Kantai Collection, Samurai Flamenco, Silver Spoon and Uta no Prince-sama – Maji Love Revolutions.

But the video streaming service has added six (6) new anime titles on their line-up, which are Attack on Titan: Junior High, Diabolik Lovers More Blood, Robotics;Notes, School-Live!, The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls and Wish Upon the Pleiades.

 

ATTACK ON TITAN: JUNIOR HIGH

All Rights Reserved.Attack on Titan: Junior High is an anime adaptation of a comedy manga series, which is a parody of Hajime Isayama’s highly-popular Attack on Titan manga. It was written and illustrated by Saki Nakagawa, which is being published in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine since April 2012, and currently has eight volumes.

Yoshihide Ibata is directing the anime adaptation, while Hozuki’s Coolheadedness scriptwriter Midori Gotou handles the series composition. Character designs are made Yuuko Yahiro, who also handled the same role for Diabolik Lovers, which will be produced by renowned anime studio Production I.G.

Yuuki Kaji (as “Eren Jaeger”), Yui Ishikawa (as “Mikasa Ackerman”), and Marina Inoue (as “Armin Artlelt”) reprises their previous roles in this comedy anime series.

The anime series was aired on the ANIPLUS Asia channel on a simulcast basis in October last year.

 

DIABOLIK LOVERS More Blood

Yet troubled by new dreams and apparitions mentioning a mysterious “Eve”, Yui’s life is suddenly once again – quite literally – turned upside down when she and the Sakamaki brothers are involved in a fiery car crash. The incident heralds the appearance of four new vampires, the Mukami tribe, and to her dismay these dashing young men have their eyes and fangs set on Yui as well!

Diabolik Lovers More, Blood is the second anime adaptation of a Japanese visual novel franchise by game developer Rejet.

Risako Yoshida, who was previously the Assistant Director of the previous anime series, will takeover as director from Shinobu Tagashira. Hiroko Kasunagi, who worked at several Jewelpet anime series, will now handle the series composition from Seiko Nagatsu. Yuuko Yahiro will reprise his role in handling character designs, which will be produced by anime studio ZEXCS.

The previous voice cast had reprised their roles in this anime series, including Rie Suegara as Yui Komori, as well as addition of new casts like Daisuke Kishio (as “Azusa Mukami”), Ryohei Kimura (as “Kou Mukami”), Takahiro Sakurai (as “Ruki Mukami”), and Tatsuhisa Suzuki (as “Yuma Mukami”).

The anime series was aired on the ANIPLUS Asia channel on a simulcast basis in October last year.

As they gather new members and try to assemble the robot, Kaito starts stumbling upon secret reports that might reveal a conspiracy of large proportions.

Unaware of what he is actually dealing with, Kaito little by little starts discovering clues laid by the mysterious Ko Kimijima.

Robotics;Notes is an anime adaptation of a Japanese visual novel game, which was developed and published by 5pb, which was first released in Sony PlayStation 3and Microsoft’s XBOX 360 in June 2012.

The anime adaptation was directed by Kazuya Nomura, who worked on the Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings anime adaptations, while Jukki Hanada, who worked on popular anime titles like Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! and Love Live! School idol project,handles the scripts, and has been produced by anime studio Production I.G.

The voice cast were lead by Ryohei Kimura (Satoru Nishimura, Natsume’s Book of Friends) as Kaito Yashio, Yoshino Nanjou (Eli Ayase, Love Live! School idol project) as Akiho Senomiya, Yoshimasa Hosoya (Reiner Braun, Attack on Titan) as Subaru Hidaka, Kaori Nazuka (Nunnally, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) as Frau Kojiro, Sora Tokui (Nico Yazawa, Love Live! School idol project) as Junna Daitoku, and Rie Kugimiya (Shana, Shakugan no Shana) as Airi.

The anime premiered on ANIPLUS Asia channel in August of last year.

Yuki Takeya is a cheerful school girl who is a member of her school’s “Campus Life Club”, alongside her friends Kurumi Ebisugawa and Yuri Wakasa. Yuki seeks out fun school activities every day whilst Kurumi and Yuri protect her, because in reality, they are the sole survivors of their school after a zombie outbreak overruns the city. 

School-Live! is an anime adaptation of a Japanese manga series, created by Norimitsu Kaihou of Nitroplus with illustrations by Sadoru Chiba, which is being serialized on Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Forward. The manga has been publishing since July 2012 and currently has five (5) volumes.

The anime adaptation has been directed by Masaomi Ando, who also directed the anime adaptation of White Album 2, while Kaihou handled the scripts. Haruko Iizuka, who worked on several popular anime titles, adapted Chiba’s character designs, which was produced by anime studio Lerche.

The voice cast were lead by Inori Minase (Hestia, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) as Yuki Takeya, Ari Ozawa (Chiyo Sakura, Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun) as Kurumi Ebisuzawa, M.A.O (Mikoto Sakuragawa, Gonna be the Twin-Tail!!) as Yuuri Wakasa, and Rie Takahashi (Ayana Aizawa, Captain Earth) as Miki Naoki.

The anime series was aired in the linear channel a simulcast basis in July of last year.

The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls is the anime adaptation of the Japanese simulation video game. developed by Cygames and Bandai Namco, and the second anime adaptation of the popular IM@S franchise.

The anime series is being directed by Noriko Takao, who worked on the previous IM@Sanime series as well as other popular titles like the Haruhi Suzumiya and K-ON! anime series, while it’s series composition being handled by Noriko Takao and Tatsuya Takahashi.

The Japanese voice cast was lead by Ayaka Ohashi (Fleur Blanc, Eureka Seven Ao) as Uzuki Shimamura, Ayaka Fukuhara (Lugh, Trinity Seven) as Rin Shibuya, Sayuri Hara (Makie Osakabe, Arpeggio of Blue Steel) as Mio Honda, and Shunsuke Takeuchi as the Producer.

The anime was aired on the linear channel in February 2015, about a month after its Japanese broadcast.

 

Wish Upon the Pleiades

Wish Upon a Pleiades is originally a four-part net animation series produced by animation studio Gainax, in collaboration with Japanese automaker Subaru, released on YouTube in February 2011.

The television anime series was directed by Shouji Saeki, who also worked on This Ugly Yet Beautiful World anime series, while Shakugan no Shana character designer Mai Otsuka adapted the original designs by Daisuke Kikuchi.

The Japanese voice cast are lead by Natsumi Takamori as “Subaru”, Ayuru Ohashi as “Aoi”, Houko Kuwashima as “Minato”, Kanako Tateno as “Itsuki”, Saki Fujita as “Nanako” and Pleiades Alien, and Yui Makino as “Hikaru”.

The anime channel aired the series on in June of last year.
