Primetrade Asia, the organizers of The Best of Anime event, has announced on Monday that the highly-popular anisong singer Eir Aoi will be visiting the Philippines for the first time to perform on the event, which is happening this September.
She will be joining the Japanese visual kei band UchuSentai:NOIZ and musician Joe Inoue, who will also perform on the two-day event.
The announcement also says that she will perform on the second day of the event, which is Sunday, September 20. No other details has been released at this time.
The organizer also tells Anime Pilipinas that full details regarding the ticket prices for The Best of Anime 2015, as well as the start of ticket selling, will be announced in the coming days.
Eir Aoi is a Japanese singer from Sapporo, Hokkaido prefecture. She started performing publicly in 2011 where she released her first single “Memoria”, which was used as the first ending theme song of the popular anime Fate/Zero.
She had also performed songs like “Sirius” as the opening theme for the anime Kill la Kill, “Niji no Oto” as the opening theme song for Sword Art Online: Special Edition, “Ignite” as the first opening theme for Sword Art Online II, and “Genesis” as the ending theme for the second season of Aldnoah.Zero.
She has released four (4) albums, with “D’Azur” released last June, as well as 10 singles, with “Lapis Lazuli” which is being used as the opening theme song of the anime The Heroic Legend of Arslan, released last April.
The Best of Anime 2015 is happening on September 19-20 at Function Rooms 2-4 of the SMX Convention Center – Manila at the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City.
