Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has announced on Tuesday that the anime series Fire Force will be premiering on the channel next month.
The first four episodes will be airing back-to-back on Friday, May 1, from 07:00pm PHT.
Subsequent episodes will be airing every Friday nights, beginning May 8, at 07:00pm PHT, two episodes back-to-back.

Fire Force is an anime adaptation of a Japanese sci-fi manga series by Atsushi Akubo, which is being published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since September 2015. The manga currently has 22 tankubon volumes, as of April 2020. Akubo is also known for creating the popular dark fantasy manga series Soul Eater.
The anime series is directed by Yuki Yase, who previously worked in Mekakucity Actors, while Yamato Haishima handles the series composition. Hideyuki Morioka, who previously worked in the Kizumonogatari anime film trilogy, handles the character designs, which is being produced by David Production.
Kenichiro Suehiro, who handled the music composition in Cells At Work! and Comic Girls, is handling the same role in the upcoming series.
Gakuto Kajiwara, who played Black Clover’s lead character “Asta”, is playing the lead role “Shinra Kusakabe”.
The first season of Fire Force was aired on Japanese television during the Summer 2019 season, and its second season is set to premiere in July 2020.
ANIPLUS Asia previously announced that the anime series would be a part of the channel’s simulcast title for the season, together with three other titles, but did not pushed through without notice.
ANIPLUS Asia is available in the Philippines on SKYcable Channel 139 in Metro Manila, CAMANAVA, Rizal, Bulacan and Laguna, G Sat Channel 73, and in select provincial cable providers around the country. Also available on their respective over-the-top streaming services.
