MNL48, Several Japanese idol groups to perform at Coslandia 2019 this November

The three-day event will also feature the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Seikimatsu Blue.

Hallohallo Entertainment, producers of the Manila-based AKB48 sister group MNL48, has announced last week that they will hold this year’s Coslandia event this November.

Unlike its previous one-day event last year, the event will now take place on November 1-3 at SMX Convention Center Aura in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The organizers also announced on the event’s Facebook page that the idol group MNL48 will be performing their music hits, as well as releasing their yet to be announced fifth single, which would also serve as the theme music for Coslandia this year.

Aside from the popular idol group, the event will also bring several idol groups from Japan to perform on the event, such as Reverse Tokyo, 1-Girls, Gracorex and Fairytales.

The organizers also announced that they will be bringing some of the people behind the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Seikimatsu Blue.

Shintaro Hirota, the creator of the manga series that inspired the upcoming film, together with the film adaptation’s director Tetsuya Hashi and the cast members will have a special appearance on the event, as well as a panel discussion about their experiences in the shooting.

Hazuki Tsubasa, who is one of the supporting actors in the film, will also be making her appearance in the country for the first time. Yuasa Michiru, who sang the film’s ending theme song “Hana no Namae”, will also grace the event.

Limited English edition of Seikimatsu Blue manga will also be sold at the event, and staff & cast members of the movie can sign each copy of the manga.

Cosplay is also in the agenda at Coslandia 2019 as they plan to bring local and international cosplayers, where they would do performances, lectures, fan meetings, authograph sessions and more.

The popular Japanese bi-monthly cosplay magazine Cosplay Mode will be appearing on the event, where they will sell their back-catalogue and magazine novelties. The magazine will also have their English language debut in the country, in conjunction with their upcoming Southeast Asian release set for 2020.

Also, there will be a screening of the recently-concluded World Cosplay Summit 2019 Championship, which happened earlier this month in Nagoya, Japan.

The organizers also announced that the event will also feature Japanese anime and an E-Sports Tournament, but details may be revealed in the coming days.
