Singapore-based anime licensor ODEX has announced on Friday that the Second of the Fate/stay night film trilogy will be screened in cinemas in Southeast Asia.
Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II. lost butterfly is set to be released in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, and the Philippines, but did not specify a target premiere date.
The second film is set to premiere in Japanese cinemas this January 12, 2019.
Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel is a three-part anime film series based on the third & final route of the popular visual novel Fate/stay night, developed by Type-Moon for Microsoft’s Windows devices in 2004.
The first film of the trilogy, Presage Flower, was directed by Tomonori Sudou, who also worked on Coyote Ragtime Show anime series, while Akira Hiyama written the scripts, which was produced by Ufotable.
The Japanese voice cast were lead by Noriko Shitaya (“Chelsea”, Coyote Ragtime Show) as “Sakura Mato”, and Noriaki Sugiyama (“Sasuke Uchiha”, Naruto) as “Shiro Emiya”.
The first film premiered in Japanese cinemas in October last year, where they opened at first place in the Japanese box office in both attendance and box office earnings.
ODEX previously released the first film in Southeast Asia last year, which started during the C3AFA Singapore week last November until its Philippine screenings last February.
