Anime Pilipinas has learned that Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has added their Winter 2017 simulcast shows on the Tribe streaming app.
The anime channel’s simulcast titles this season are ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept., Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid and Trickster.
The first couple of episodes of the titles are now available on the streaming service, and it is expected to add more episodes in the coming days.

The kingdom of Dowa, which is subdivided into 13 states, is celebrating its monarch’s 99th birthday. These 13 states have many agencies that are controlled by the giant organization known as ACCA. Within ACCA, Jean Otus is the second-in-command of the inspection agency. His agency has ten people placed in each of the 13 states, with a central office in the capital city. They keep track of all the activities of ACCA across the kingdom, and keep data on each state’s ACCA office flowing toward the central office. Jean also often has business trips from the capital to the other districts to check on the situation and personnel there.
ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. is an anime adaptation of a manga series by Natsume Ono, which was serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan magazine from June 2013 to October 2016. The manga has a total of six (6) volumes.
One Punch Man director Shingo Natsume and scriptwriter Tomohiro Suzuki reunited to work on the anime adaptation, while Norifumi Kugai worked on character designs, which was produced by Madhouse.
Hiro Shimono, who portrayed “Senri Ichinose” in the anime Norn9, will be the anime’s lead character “Jean Otus”.
ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. premiered on the ANIPLUS Asia on January 09.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid

Miss Kobayashi is an office worker who lives a boring life. One day, while drunk, she saves the life of a female dragon and invites her to her small apartment. The dragon, named Tohru, transforms into an adorable human girl dressed as a maid. With a devoted, high-spirited Dragon Maid as her roommate, Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to change!
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is an anime adaptation of a manga series by Coolkyoushinja, which is being published by Futabasha in Monthly Action magazine since May 2013. The manga currently has five (5) volumes.
The anime adaptation was directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto, who also directed Hyouka and Amagi Brilliant Park, while Black Butler scriptwriter Yuka Yamada handled the series composition of the anime.
Character designs were made by Miku Kadowaki, who worked on several titles like Beyond the Boundary and Amagi Brilliant Park, which was produced by Kyoto Animation.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Mutsumi Tamura (“Satoru Kimijima”, Girl Friend BETA) as “Kobayashi” and Yuki Kuwahara (“Hime Arikawa”, Himegoto) as “Tohru”.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid premiered on the ANIPLUS Asia on January 11.
Trickster
Boys’ Detective Team member Kensuke Hanasaki meets a mysterious boy named Yoshio Kobayashi, who has an undying body because of an “unidentified fog”. Kobayashi wishes his own death and refuses contact with others. Hanasaki takes an interest in him and invites him to join the team. Their encounter leads them to the criminal nicknamed the “Fiend with Twenty Faces”.
TRICKSTER is an anime series inspired by the detective novels of Edogawa Ranpo, which is produced by Shin-Ei Animation and TMS Entertainment.
The anime was directed by Masahiro Mukai, who also directed the Hyperdimension Neptunia anime series, while Tiger & Bunny scriptwriter Erika Yoshida handled the series composition and Shinya Yamada adapted the character designs by Pitch-Pit.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Ryota Ohsaka (“Ryota Watari”, Your Lie in April) as “Kensuke Hanazaki”, Daiki Yamashita (“Hiro Shirosaki”, GLASSLIP) as “Yoshio Kobayashi” and Daisuke Ono (“Natsuhiko Azuma”, Norn9) as “Kogoro Akechi”.
Trickster premiered on the ANIPLUS Asia on January 2, while simulcast episodes started airing on January 17 with Episode 15.
