The team, represented by cosplayers Yukari Guerzon and Gomer Taboada, are the winners of the World Cosplay Summit Philippines 2016 Finals, which was held at the Japan Cultural Expo at the SM City Davao in Davao City on Saturday.

The Davao-based cosplayers had portrayed characters from the online role-playing game Phantasy Star Online.

This year’s national finals are composed of eight teams, with two (2) from National Capital Region, one (1) from Southern Luzon, two (2) from Visayas, and three (3) from Mindanao.

This will be the fourth time that the Philippines will be represented by cosplayers from Mindanao, with John Vincent Estapon in 2013, Angeleah Mejo & Mattsu Bernales in 2014, and Jennifer Ong & Sarah Jane de Ocampo in 2015.
