Anime Pilipinas has learned that Plus Media Networks Asia, the owner of the pan-regional anime channel ANIPLUS Asia, has appointed Omnicontent Management, Inc. (OMI) to distribute the channel to cable & satellite providers in the Philippines.

ANIPLUS Asia is currently seen as a 24-hour linear high-definition (HD) channel in countries like Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. Selected titles can also be watched through video-streaming services Hooq and iFlix, which mainly targets the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and India.

“We look forward to making ANIPLUS available in the Philippines, Filipino fans can have chance to watch the hottest anime series express from Japan.” says Rosanne Lo, General Manager of Plus Media Networks Asia.

Lo also says that Filipino anime fans would hopefully be able to enjoy award-winning shows, as well as the very latest titles from Japan. Currently, there are four (4) simulcast titles that are airing on the channel, which are Kiznaiver, Bungo Stray Dogs, Endride and Big Order.

“To watch the channel, we are calling Filipino fans to ask your Pay TV operator now”, Lo added.

When asked if there are any cable or satellite providers in the country that are interested to include ANIPLUS on their line-up, she says that there are a few operators that are interested.

But she also explains that the Pay TV operators are still waiting for the feedback from their subscribers for them to consider.

When asked regarding the channel’s titles on video-streaming services, she says that one of the top-viewed content on iFlix were Japanese anime shows.

She also adds that new titles from their line-up will be added on its video on-demand services soon.
