Pan-regional anime channel ANIPLUS HD has announced that the upcoming mystery anime The Perfect Insider will be the channel’s first simulcast title this Fall season.
Sohei Saikawa is a member of the Saikawa Research Lab. He goes on a vacation organised by the lab, and Moe Nishinosono, the daughter of his mentor, joins the group on their vacation despite not being a part of the lab. There, the two end up finding a corpse. The two work together to solve the mysteries of what becomes a serial murder case.
The Perfect Insider is an anime adaptation based on the mystery novel, Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider, written by Hiroshi Mori in 1996. The novel has previously been adapted into a manga, visual novel and live-action series.
The anime adaptation will be directed by Mamoru Kanbe, who also directed the highly-popular sci-fi drama anime Elfen Lied, while scripts will be handled by Gatchaman Crowds scriptwriter Toshiya Ono, which will be produced by A-1 Pictures.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Yasuyuki Kase (Kankurou, Naruto series) as “Sohei Saikawa”, Atsumi Tanezaki (Lisa Mishima, Terror in Resonance) as “Moe Nishinosono”, and Ibuki Kido (Natsuki Ando, Chronicles of the Going Home Club) as “Shiki Magata”.
The Perfect Insider premieres on October 9, airing every Friday nights at 11:00pm SG (10:00pm JKT/BKK). Same day as Japan.
ANIPLUS HD is also set to have a special marathon to celebrate the Halloween, with an encore of popular horror anime shows School-Live! and Diabolik Lovers.
