Pan-regional anime channel ANIPLUS Asia held a special screening event, featuring the psychological-thriller anime Terror in Resonance last Wednesday in Singapore.
The preview event, which was sponsored by game distributor Cherry Credits in Singapore, was attended by the channel’s audience and several bloggers.
The audience was treated with a two (2) episode premiere, which was a day before the first episode premieres on Japanese television on Thursday, July 10. They are also able to watch a special video message from director Shinichiro Watanabe.
Terror in Resonance takes place in an alternate iteration of the present. Tokyo has been hit by a terrorist attack that has decimated the city, spreading paranoia in its wake. The only evidence of the culprits is a mysterious video uploaded to the Internet by terrorist group, Sphinx. Unbeknownst to the authorities, Sphinx are two teenage boys, who go by the names, “Nine” and “Twelve”. They have decided to wake the world up with their heinous plans of death and destruction with their fingers on the trigger. (Synopsis from ANIPLUS Asia)
Terror in Resonance, also known by the titles Zankyou no Terror (残響のテロル) and Terror in Tokyo, is a psychological-thriller anime produced by anime studio MAPPA, which is set to premiere on Thursday, July 10.
The show’s casts are lead by Atsumi Tanezaki (Asako Natsume, My Little Monster) as Lisa Mishima, Kaito Ishikawa (Mitsuo Yanasigawa, Golden Time) as Shin “Nine” Kokonoe, and Souma Saito (Tadashi Yamaguchi, Haikyuu!!) as Fuyuji “Twelve” Kumi.
The team of director Shinichiro Watanabe, music composer Yoko Kanno & animator Kazuto Nakazawa, who worked on titles like Cowboy Bebop, Space Dandy and Kids on the Slope, will be a part of the anime series.
Terror in Resonance premieres on July 21, airing Every Monday nights at 11:00pm SGT (10:00pm JKT), just a few days after the Japanese telecast, with encore on Friday nights at 11:25pm SGT (10:25pm JKT).
