Singapore-based anime distributor MUSE Asia has announced on Monday that they will simulcast Zombie Land Saga Revenge anime this April.
The second season of the popular comedy anime will premiere on April 8, streaming every Thursdays at 11:45pm PHT on the MUSE Asia YouTube channel, within an hour after streaming in Japan.
Zombie Land Saga is an original anime series created by Japanese entertainment producer Avex Pictures, animation studio MAPPA and video game developer Cygames, which was aired on Japanese television in October to December 2018.
The staff from the first season, including director Munehisa Sakai, scriptwriter Shigeru Murakoshi and character designer Kasumi Fukagawa, will return to work on the second season.
Global streaming giant Netflix streamed the comedy anime in Southeast Asia in 2019, which was then aired on anime channel ANIPLUS Asia in August last year.
The main voice cast, including Kaede Hondo (as Sakura Minamoto), Asami Tano (as Saki Nikaido), Risa Taneda (as Ai Mizuno), Maki Kawase (as Junko Konno), Rika Kinugawa (as Yugiri), Minami Tanaka (as Lily Hoshikawa) and Kotono Mitsuishi (as Tae Yamada), will return to voice their respective roles in the second season.
Franchouchou, the idol group composed by the anime project’s cast members, will perform both the opening and ending theme song of the upcoming season.
Mamoru Miyano, who portrayed Franchouchou’s manager “Kotaro Tatsumi”, will also return in the upcoming season.
Zombie Land Saga Revenge will be MUSE Asia’s first simulcast anime title for the Spring 2021 season, and more titles are expected to be announced in the coming days.
