To Your Eternity is an upcoming anime adaptation of a Japanese fantasy manga series by Yoshitoki Oima, who was also known for creating the popular drama manga A Silent Voice, which has been running in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since November 2016 and currently has 14 volumes.

Kodansha USA, which releases the manga on physical and digital platforms in English, describes the manga’s story:

A lonely boy wandering the Arctic regions of North America meets a wolf, and the two become fast friends, depending on each other to survive the harsh environment. But the boy has a history, and the wolf is more than meets the eye as well.

To Your Eternity will be directed by Masahiko Murata, who previously worked in several episodes of Naruto Shippuden and its anime film adaptations, while long-time Pokémon scriptwriter Shinzo Fujita will handle the series composition.

Koji Yabuno, who worked on the Space Brothers drama anime, will handle character designs, which will be produced by Brain’s Base.

Japanese singer Hikaru Utada performed the upcoming anime’s opening theme song “PINK BLOOD”, which will be her first for a television anime series. The song is also previewed on the latest trailer.

Reiji Kawashima is set to voice the lead character “Fushi”, where he will be joined by Rie Hikisaka (as March), Aya Uchida (as Parona) and Kenjiro Tsuda (as The Beholder).

The upcoming anime is scheduled to premiere on Monday, April 12, on NHK Educational TV in Japan. The anime was initially set to premiere during the Autumn 2020 season, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hong Kong-based content distributor Medialink Entertainment Limited has announced on Monday that they have acquired To Your Eternity anime, which will be part of their Ani-One platform.

No confirmation yet from the company if the upcoming title will also be available on their YouTube channel, or exclusive to iQIYI.
