Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has announced on Friday that they will air Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? III on a simulcast basis this Autumn 2020 season.
The upcoming season is set to premiere on October 2, but details regarding its airing will be announced in the coming days.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, also known by its short title “DanMachi”, is an anime adaptation of the Japanese fantasy light novel series, written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda, which is being published by SB Creative under their GA Bunko imprint since January 2013 and currently has 15 volumes.
The light novel has received two manga adaptations, a two anime adaptation in April 2015 and July 2019, two original video animations, and a smartphone game released in 2017.
Additionally, the light novel also inspired two light novel spinoffs, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side: Sword Oratoria and Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Familia Chronicle.
The main staff from the second season, including director Hideki Tachibana, scriptwriter Hideki Shirane, music composer Keiji Inai and character designer Shigeki Kimoto, will return to work on the third season, which will be produced by J.C. Staff.
The main cast of the anime series, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (as Bell Cranell) and Inori Minase (as Hestia), will reprise their roles in the upcoming season, with Rina Hidaka (“Silica”, Sword Art Online series) joining as the character “Weine”, who was teased in the last episode of the previous season.
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? III was initially set to premiere last July, but was delayed to October due to production issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
ANIPLUS Asia aired the first season of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? on a simulcast basis in April 2015, which was followed by the anime adaptation of its spinoff series, Sword Oratoria: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side, in April 2017.
The anime channel aired second season of the popular series, also on a simulcast basis, in July 2017.
Philippine terrestrial broadcaster TV5 aired the first season of the anime series, which has been dubbed in Tagalog, in May 2017.
The light novel series also inspired the anime film Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Arrow of the Orion, which was released in Japanese cinemas on February 2018.
The anime film was also released in overseas territories, such as North America, United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? will be ANIPLUS Asia’s second simulcast anime title for the Autumn 2020 season, after D4DJ First Mix.
The anime channel is set to announce more simulcast titles in the coming days.
