Viz Media, the franchise’s official license holder in North America, has described the original anime series:

Shiro is an easygoing teenager content with just being a student—until his seemingly perfect life is halted when a bloodthirsty clan, glowing red with fire, attempts to kill him in the streets. Unbeknownst to Shiro, he is suspected of murdering a member of their clan and will need a miracle to escape their vengeance. Miraculously, a young man named Kuroh Yatogami swings in and aids Shiro in his getaway, only to reveal he’s also after Shiro’s life.

Now a hunted man, Shiro will have to evade the clans of seven powerful kings and desperately try to prove his innocence—before it’s too late!

Shingo Suzuki has returned to the franchise to direct the anime film series and handled its character designs, with GoRA are credited for the anime film’s scripts.

Mikio Endo also returned to compose the music, while the Japanese pop band angela performed the opening theme song “SURVIVE!”, as well as the ending theme for each of the six-part film series.

K: Seven Stories will be in addition to previously announced anime shows scheduled to premiere this month, which are Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Director’s Cut and A Destructive God Sits Next to Me.

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Director’s Cut is set to premiere on June 15, while A Destructive God Sits Next to Me is set to premiere on June 18.
