Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has announced on Tuesday that they will air the second season of Isekai Quartet on a simulcast basis this Winter 2020.

The new season will premiere on January 14, airing every Tuesdays at 24:30 PHT (effectively every Wednesdays at 12:30am PHT), with an encore telecast the next day at 06:00pm.

Isekai Quartet 2 will be the anime channel’s third simulcast title for the upcoming season, which follows the announcement of Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story and Nekopara.

Isekai Quartet 2 is the upcoming second season of a crossover anime series, featuring characters from KADOKAWA’s isekai-themed light novel series.

In the first season, the anime featured characters from Overlord, KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World!, Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World and The Saga of Tanya the Devil.

In the upcoming season, they will now be joined by characters from The Rising of the Shield Hero.

 

Minoru Asahina, who written and directed the previous season, will return to work on the upcoming season together with character designer Minoru Takehara, which will be produced by Studio Puyukai.

The Japanese voice cast of each of their respective anime shows will reprise their roles on the upcoming season, including the following:

  • Satoshi Hino as Ains Ooal Gown
  • Yusuke Kobayashi as Subaru Natsuki
  • Aoi Yuki as Tanya Degurechaff
  • Jun Fukushima as Kazuma Sato
  • Yumi Hara as Albedo
  • Rie Takahashi as Emilia
  • Saori Hayami as Viktoriya Ivanovna Serebryakov (Visha)
  • Sora Amamiya as Aqua

They will now be joined by The Rising of the Shield Hero lead voice cast, Kaito Ishikawa (as “Naofumi Iwatani”), Asami Seto (as “Raphtalia”) and Rina Hidaka (as “Filo”).

 

Singapore-based anime licensor MUSE Asia has announced that they will also release the upcoming show on a simulcast basis on their YouTube channel starting January 15, streaming every Wednesdays at 12:45am, just 15 minutes after the television broadcast.

ANIPLUS Asia has previously aired the first season of Isekai Quartet on a simulcast basis in April of this year.
