Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! is an upcoming anime adaptation of a Japanese light novel series by FUNA, which initially started as a self-published work online in January 2016.
The series has been picked-up by Earth Star Entertainment, where it became a light novel under their Earth Star Novel imprint in May 2016, with Itsuki Akata coming on board as its illustrator.
ANIPLUS Asia has described the upcoming anime’s story:
High-schooler Misato Kurihara reincarnates in another world after an accident and wishes to lead a normal life. However, God bestows upon her something that is far from “average”…
Gabriel Dropout director Masahiko Ohta and scriptwriter Takashi Aoshima reunites to work on the upcoming anime.
So Watanabe, who worked on the romantic comedy series Girls Beyond the Wasteland, adapts Akata’s original character designs, which will be produced by project No.9.
Azumi Waki, who previously voiced Uma Musume: Pretty Derby’s lead character “Special Week”, will voice the upcoming show’s lead character “Adele von Ascham”. She is also joined by Sora Tokui (as “Reina”), Fumiko Uchimura (as “Mavis von Austien”) and Masumi Tazawa (as “Pauline”).
Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! will be ANIPLUS Asia’s fifth simulcast title for the Autumn 2019 season.
The anime channel previously announced the simulcast airing of the second season of Granblue Fantasy: The Animation on October 4, Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious on October 2, Assassins Pride on October 10, and Kemono Michi: Rise Up on October 6.
