High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World is an anime adaptation of a Japanese fantasy light novel series, written by Riku Misora and illustrated by Sacraneco, which is being published by SB Creative under their GA Bunko imprint since October 2015 and currently has eight (8) volumes.

The light novel was adapted into a manga series, illustrated by Kotaro Yamada, which is being published in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine since May 2016 and currently has seven (7) volumes.

Yen Press, who releases the manga series in English, described the story:

In Japan, there are seven superhuman highschoolers who are world-class geniuses in various fields ranging from governance to economics and beyond. On one fateful day, these seven wind up in a plane accident and wake up only to find themselves in another world.

Finding themselves in a foreign place where magic and beast-people are real, they immediately proceed to panic-or at least that’s what would’ve happened if they were some run of the mill students!!

If anything, these seven are actually using their talents to do absolutely ludicrous things so they can go home…

“Let’s take it easy, because if we really let loose, I’m pretty sure we’ll end up destroying this world.”

The upcoming anime adaptation will be directed by Shinsuke Yanagi, who previously directed The Ryuo’s Work is Never Done!, while Snow White with the Red Hair scriptwriter Deko Akao will handle the series composition.

Akane Yano, who worked on The Fruit of Grisaia series, will handle character designs, which will be produced by project No.9.

The Japanese voice cast include Yusuke Kobayashi (“Subaru Natsuki”, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World) as “Tsukasa Mikogami”, Rina Hidaka (“Last Order”, A Certain Magical Index series) as “Ringo Ohoshi” and Yuki Kuwahara (“Tohru”, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) as “Lyrule”.

High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World will be ANIMAX Asia’s second simulcast anime title for Autumn 2019 season.

The channel previously announced that The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods, which is the third anime season of the popular action-adventure franchise, will premiere on October 9.
