ANIPLUS Asia to simulcast “Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious” anime this Autumn 2019

Matoi the Sacred Slayer director Masayuki Sakoi, Saga of Tanya the Evil scriptwriter Kenta Ihara works on the upcoming fantasy anime.

Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has announced on Sunday that the upcoming fantasy adventure anime Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious will be their second simulcast title for the Autumn 2019 season.

The new show is set to premiere on October 2, airing every Wednesday nights at 11:00pm PHT, within an hour after its initial Japanese telecast. Encore telecast on the next day at 06:00pm PHT.

Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious is an upcoming anime adaptation of a fantasy adventure light novel series, written by Light Tuchihi and illustrated by Saori Toyota, which is being published by Kadokawa Shoten since February 2017 and currently has five volumes.

The novel is originally a self-published series in Kakuyomu, which started in June 2016 and currently on-going.

ANIPLUS Asia described the upcoming show’s story:

Newbie Goddess Listarte is suddenly assigned as the savior of a super hard-mode world. She succeeds in summoning the hero, Seiya Ryuuguuin, who holds the cheat-rank status, but he is ridiculously cautious?

 

The upcoming anime adaptation will be directed by Masayuki Sakoi, who previously directed Celestial Method and Matoi the Sacred Slayer anime series, while Saga of Tanya the Evil scriptwriter Kenta Ihara will handle the series composition.

Mai Toda, who previously worked in like Girls’ Last Tour drama anime, will adapt Toyota’s character illustrations, which will be produced by White Fox.

The Japanese voice cast will be lead by Aki Toyosaki (“Yui Hirasawa”, K-ON!) as “Lista” and Yuichiro Umehara (“Goro”, DARLING in the FRANXX) as “Seiya Ryuguin”.

 

ANIPLUS Asia has previously announced the second season of Granblue Fantasy: The Animation as its first simulcast title for the upcoming season, which is scheduled to premiere on Friday, October 4.
