GEM TV to broadcast Nippon TV’s “The Music Day” this July

Popular Japanese group KAT-TUN to perform from Hong Kong.

Japanese entertainment channel GEM TV is set to broadcast Nippon TV’s seventh annual The Music Day next month.

The special musical event will air live, direct from Makuhari Messe in Chiba, on Saturday, July 6, from 03:50pm to 10:00pm PHT.

 

The special event will headline musical acts of popular Japanese groups like ARASHI, Kis-My-Ft2, NEWS, and DA PUMP, with a special performance from KAT-TUN, live from Hong Kong.

Other performers for the broadcast include AKB48, Annie, Daichi Miura, DAOKO×MIYAVI, Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS from EXILE TRIBE, Kaela, Kenta Kiritani, King & Prince, Kohmi Hirose, Masatoshi Ono, Pikotaro, sukimaswitch, and Yuki Koyanagi among others.

Sho Sakurai from ARASHI will once again serve as the emcee of the event.

 

The Music Day is the annual musical event produced by Japanese broadcaster Nippon TV, which started in 2013 as a celebration of the broadcaster’s 60th anniversary.

The program is aired in Japan throughout the Nippon Television Network in 28 stations, while GEM TV Asia started airing the music event live throughout Southeast Asia since 2017.

 

GEM TV Asia is available on SKYcable Channel 116 in Metro Manila, CAMANAVA, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan and Lipa City (Batangas) / Channel 222 in Bacolod, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Dumaguete and General Santos City (South Cotabato), and GSat Channel 57.
