Southeast Asian anime channel ANIMAX Asia has announced in an advertisement on Saturday four anime shows that had been lined-up to air next year.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Yo-kai Watch: Shadowside, Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody and Lupin the Third Part 5 are set to premiere within 2019.
The advertisement did not mention a specific premiere date for each of the titles, as well as the channel’s upcoming simulcast titles for Winter 2019 season.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind is an anime series based on the fifth story arc of Hirohiko Araki’s popular supernatural action manga JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, which is being published by Shueisha since January 1987. The manga currently has 123 volumes in total, while the “Golden Wind” arc covered volumes 47-63.
Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura, who previously directed the anime titles Keijo!!!!!!!! and Three Leaves, Three Colors, are now co-directors of the series with Naokatsu Tsuda now serving as Chief Director, while Yasuko Kobayashi returned to his role as scriptwriter.
Takahiro Kishida, who worked on the sports anime Haikyu!!, now handles the character designs with Takahito Katayama handling designs for the “Stands”, which is being produced by David Animation.
The Japanese voice cast are being lead by Kensho Ono (“Tetsuya Kuroko”, Kuroko’s Basketball) as “Giorno Giovanna”, and Yuichi Nakamura (“Gray Fullbuster”, Fairy Tail) as “Bruno Bucciarati”.

Yo-kai Watch Shadowside is a supernatural anime series and sequel to the original Yo-kai Watch anime series, which is based on the role-playing video game series developed by Nintendo and published by Level-5, which was first released for the Nintendo 3DS platform in Japan on July 2013 and North America in November 2015.
Unlike the previous adaptation, focusing on comedic skits, the new series had a more mature and darker take on the franchise, which focused more on drama and conflict.
Yo-kai Watch scriptwriter Yoichi Kato and character designer Toshiya Yamada returned to work on the new adaptation, which will be produced by animation studio OLM. Fumiya Kitajou, who worked in the Ultimate Psychic Squad series, served as the new director of the series.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Haruka Tomatsu (“Asuna Yuki”, Sword Art Online) as “Keisuke Amano” and Aoi Yuki (“Madoka Kaname”, Puella Magi Madoka Magica) as “Natsume Amano”.

Death March To The Parallel World Rhapsody is an anime adaptation of a novel series by Hiro Ainana, originally self-published in March 2013, then adapted by Kadokawa’s Fujimi Shobo a year later and currently has 14 volumes.
The anime adaptation was directed by Shin Oonuma, who also worked in the comedy anime Baka and Test – Summon the Beasts.
Armed Girl’s Machiavellism scriptwriter Kento Shimoyama and animation director Shoko Takimoto reunited to work on the series composition and character designs respectively, which was produced by SILVER LINK and Connect.
Shun Horie, who voiced “Pierre” in the idol franchise The Idolm@ster SideM, portrayed the lead character Ichirou Suzuki / Satou Pendragon.
Lupin the Third Part 5

Lupin the Third Part 5 is the sixth television anime adaptation based on the popular manga series created by Monkey Punch.
The anime was directed by Yuichiro Yano, who previously worked in the slice-of-life comedy anime Moyashimon, while Code Geass creator Ichiro Okuchi handled the series composition.
Hisao Yokuburi, who previously worked on several Lupin III movies and television series, returned to work on the latest series, which was produced by TMS Entertainment’s Telecom Animation Film studios.
Kanichi Kurita (as Arsene Lupin III), Kiyoshi Kobayashi (as Daisuke Jigen), Daisuke Namikawa (as Goemon Ishikawa), Miyuki Sawashiro (as Fujiko Mine) and Koichi Yamadera (as Inspector Zenigata) returned to voice their respective roles in the series.
