ANIPLUS Asia to simulcast ‘Release the Spyce’ anime this October

Creators of Yuki Yuna is a Hero and Yuruyuri collaborate for this upcoming original anime series.

Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia has announced on Thursday that the upcoming anime series Release the Spyce will be airing on the channel in a simulcast basis starting this month.

The anime will premiere on Sunday, October 7, at 04:00am (03:00am JKT/BKK). The following episodes will air Every Sundays at 03:00am (02:00am JKT/BKK), within 2 hours after the initial Japanese telecast.

The series is about a girl named Momo who attends high school at the city of Sorasaki. However, she is secretly a member of Tsukikage, an intelligence agency that protects people. As a new member of the agency, she works alongside her colleagues including her senior Yuki and friends. Release the Spyce is an upcoming anime series, which is a collaboration by Yuki Yuna is a Hero creator Takahiro and Yuruyuri creator Namori, with SORASAKI.F credited for the original work.

Takahiro will handle the series composition, while Namori handle character designs and will be directed by Akira Sato, who worked on anime shows like Michiko & Hatchin and Deadman Wonderland. Japanese animation studio Lay-duce will produce the original anime.

Yukari Anzai, Akane Fujita, Manami Numakura, Aya Suzaki, Aya Uchida and Yuri Noguchi will perform the upcoming anime’s opening theme song “Supatto! Spy & Spice” and ending theme song “Hide & Seek” as the characters they are set to portray in the series.

 

Release the Spyce will be the third simulcast title of ANIPLUS Asia for the Autumn 2018 season, and it will be addition to previously announced titles Tokyo Ghoul:re – Part 2 and Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.
